Watson 780 Carafate Pill

Watson Pharmaceuticals ditributes its generic version of Sucralfate (Carafate) as pills indexed "WATSON 780". The color of the pills can be described as light blue, some people may even call them white. The index "WATSON 780" is debossed on one side of the pill (letters over numbers), the other side is scored. Each Watson 780 contains 1000 mg sucralfate (active ingrediend, and also, generic name for Carafate brand). The medication is used to treat active duodenal ulcer.

Watson 825 White Pill

One of the strongest combinations of hydrocodone / acetaminophen available. Watson 825 contains 10mg and 650mg of them respectively. A potent pain reliever with the highest possible amount of hydrocodone bitartrate, Watson 825 pill can be compared to m366 pill, a generic version of Vicodin (Lortab or Norco) manufactured by another famous company, Mallinckrodt Pharms.

Description: oblong white pill debossed with "WATSON 825" on one side, and scored on the other.

Watson 502

WATSON 502 is a beautifully looking hydrocodone/acetaminophen 7.5mg/650mg pill, a generic Vicodin pill. We say 'beautifully looking' because of the special color of WATSON 502 which is something between white and pink. WATSON 502 is a rather strong pain reliever, especially strong due to the high amount of hydrocodone bitartrate, an opioid analgetic found in it. The medication is also distributed under brand names Lortab and Norco.

WATSON 502 pill (product of Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc.) can be substituted by M359 pill (product of Mallinckrodt Pharms) which is another variation for generic Vicodin 7.5/650.

Watson 385 Pill

Watson 385 pill is a medium strength generic Vicodin pill, though 7.5 mg of hydrocodone bitartrate found in it makes it possible to treat even severe pain. 500 mg of acetaminophen (the other active ingredient in Watson 385) strengthens the effects of hydrocodone. By strengths, Watson 385 equals m358 pill, a product of Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, which can also be listed as generic Vicodin/Lortab/Norco. Both pills are oval, white and scored on the side opposite to the indexed one. Mallinckrodt's pill looks a little more oblong as compared to Watson 385.

Watson 540 Pill

They sometimes describe its color as white, sometimes as blue. Perhaps, we should better say that the pill is bluish white. Oval, with one side scored. "WATSON 540" index is debossed on the other side of the pill (letters above figures). As for the appearance, that seems to be all.

Now, active ingredients. Due to the fact, that Watson 540 pill is, in fact, generic Vicodin 10/500, each Watson 540 contains 10 mg hydrocodone bitartrate and 500 mg acetaminophen. The pill can as well be listed as generic Lortab or Norco (all the names are trade name variations for the same medicine).

A fact should be mentioned that generic versions of Vicodin 10/500 are distributed by other manufacturers, too. Along with Watson 540, the same strengths of hydrocodone and APAP can be found, e.g., in M363 pills manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharms.

WATSON 503 Pill

WATSON 503 pill belongs to the group of Watson pills with the highest content of hydrocodone in them. Each light green WATSON 503 pill contains 10 mg of it, together with 650 mg acetaminophen. Due to the fact, in WATSON 503 we face one of the strongest analgetics available on the market.

However, Watson's rivals do not stay behind. M361pill manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharms seems to feature the same strengths and qualities of generic Vicodin 10/650.

Watson 387

Watson 387 is a strong combination of hydrocodone and acetaminophen, which can be called a generic Vicodin 7.5/750. A high amount of acetaminophen must be taken into account if one intends or has to use repeated doses of the medication, as the total dose of APAP must not exceed 4000mg taken during the day.

By the way, our "rule" the bigger number, the larger strength can hardly be applied to any Watson's Vicodin pill, including Watson 387, because of the fact that this medicine is a compound that consists of two active ingredients, and the amount of each of them varies from pill to pill. Some pill may contain a lot of APAP, but very little of hydrocodone, while the others are rich in hydrcodone though containing little acetaminophen. Or both ingredients can be found in large or little amounts...

Watson 242

As you may easily see, a larger number in a Watson pill's index means a higher strength of the medication, or a larger amount of the active ingredient (of course, if we speak of a series of pills containing this ingredient). We have already examined 0.5 mg lorazepam pills made by Watson Pharmaceuticals (indexed Watson 240). In Watson 242, you can expect a higher dose of lorazepam. And you are right, as Watson 242 pills contain 2 mg of it. To make it even more clear, these Watson pills do not only show a standard number, but a little figure, too (0.5, 1, or 2). In Watson 242 pills you may see a "2" under the "242" index on the reverse side.

Watson 3228

Now, Watson 3228. The strongest generic Vicodin formulation available, both in hydrocodone and acetaminophen. Watson 3228 contains 10mg hydrocodone bitartrate together with 750mg acetaminophen. A really potent remedy to relieve pain, we should say. At the same time, Watson 3228 is a rather dangerous variation of Vicodin, as the amount of APAP in it is quite heavy on the liver and the amount of hydrocodone may add to addictiveness and risk of abuse...

Watson 746

One more Watson product, one more widely used medicine: lorazepam (brand named as Ativan). Watson Pharmaceuticals manufactures a series of lorazepam pills, which range in strength from 0.5mg to 2mg. The pill indexed "Watson 746" is the least strength, i.e., it contains 0.5 mg of lorazepam. Description is simple. Watson 746 pills are round, yellow and scored on one side, with the index debossed on the other.

Watson 3228

Watson 3228 is in the row of generic Vicodin pills made by Watson Pharmaceuticals. The pill is yellow, oval (slightly rounded), scored on one side. It is the strongest strength available, as Watson 3228 contains the highest amounts of hydrocodone and acetaminophen, that is 10 mg and 750 mg respectively. Due to the fact, Watson 3228 is not the right choice to start the treatment with, though it may come in handy in cases the system has already developed some tolerance to the drug, and the pain is bad.

Watson 824

Pill description: oblong or oval, white-colored, scored on one side.
Pill's ID (or code) debossed on the other side: WATSON 824.
Active ingredient(s): acetaminophen, oxycodone hydrochloride.
Strength(s): 500mg / 7.5mg.

What is it all about? Watson 824 is a variation of generic Percocet made by Watson Pharmaceuticals. A pain reliver.

Watson 241

Watson 241 pill looks almost the same with Watson 240 pill: white, round, scored. The number is the only essential difference, as it tells the strength of the pill (together with the active ingredient, Lorazepam). It is 1 mg. The manufacturer is Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Watson 240 Round White Pill

Let us explore another group of pills with "WATSON" letters on them. This time the pills are round, so they can as well be called tablets. The numbers on them range from 240 to 242. "WATSON" is debossed on one side, and the numbers are placed on the reverse. All the three of them are lorazepam (i.e. generic Ativan) pills different in strength. Watson 240 is the least strength of only 0.5 mg. The fact is obvious because the strength of the pill is debossed together with the number "240" on the surface divided by a score. As you may know, lorazepam is an anti-anxiety medication which belongs to the class of benzodiazepines. In other words, a sedative.

Watson 349

Watson 349 is perhaps the most popular version of generic Vicodin made by Watson Pharmaceuticals. The combination of 500mg acetaminophen and 5mg hydrocodone bitartrate found in it seems to be perfect to relieve pain in general cases. This fact makes Watson 349 pills top-sellers in the series of Watson's Vicodin compounds. To identify your medicine, you only have to know the number debossed on your pill together with "WATSON" letters. As for the pills themselves, like in most cases with Watson's Vicodin, the are oblong and white-colored. The imprint is found on one side only, the other side is blank and scored.

Watson 932

Another Oxycodone / Acetaminophen combination is Watson 932 pill: 10 mg / 325 mg. As you may see, the amount of Oxycodone is rather high which makes the pill a potent pain reliever. And again, we have a medication which can as well be called a generic Percocet. WATSON 932 pill is round, with the index debossed on one side of it, while the other side is blank.

Sunday, April 11, 2010

Watson 933 - generic Percocet

Watson 933 - one more Acetaminophen / Oxycodone combination variety. The amount of APAP does not differ from that one in Watson 749 pills, but the amount of Oxycodone is higher. Each Watson 933 pill contains 7.5 mg of Oxycodone hydrochloride, which makes it a more potent pain killer as compared to the previous item. Description is simple: the pill is round, white-colored, with "WATSON 933" index debossed on one side (the other side has no marks). And again, it may be called a generic version of the medication well-known under the brand name Percocet.

Watson 749 Pill

325 mg of Acetaminophen can be found in some combinations that differ from APAP/Hydrocodone. Another pain relieving solution is Acetaminophen and Oxycodone hydrochloride combination commonly known as name brand Percocet. Watson Pharmaceuticals manufactures a number of strengths of this compound medication containing different amounts of both Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, e.g. Watson 749 pill which consists of 325 mg Acetaminophen and 5 mg Oxycodone HCl. Watson 749 is a little round white pill with "WATSON 749" index debossed on one of its sides, the other side is scored.

Watson 853

There is one more Watson pill that contains 325mg of Acetaminophen combined with Hydrocodone bitartrate. It is sometimes described as white, sometimes as yellow. In fact, it is slightly yellow or yellowish white, oblong or oval, with one side scored. But the main feature of the pill is the index "WATSON 853" debossed on the unscored side of it. Watson 853 is a compound preparation which contains 325mg Acetaminophen (as we have already stated) and 10mg of Hydrocodone. And again, it is a generic version of Vicodin (Lortab).

Watson 3203 Oval Orange Pill

Acetaminophen / Hydrocodone preparation is available in a number of strength combinations. As in Watson 3202, in Watson 3203 we found the same unchanged 325 mg of Acetaminophen, but the amount of Hydrocodone is higher. Now, it is 7.5 mg, which makes Watson 3203 a stronger pill as compared to the previous one. More details to help you identify the pill. Shape: oval to oblong. Color: dull orange. The pill is scored on the side which has no index.

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

Watson 3202 Pill

In the line of Acetaminophen / Hydrocodone pills, Watson 3202 is the least strength. It contains only 325 mg of Acetaminophen and 5 mg Hydrocodone bitartrate. The shape of the pill is oval. As for the color, it can be described as white scattered with pink dots. It is indexed with "WATSON" letters on one side, and the number "3202" on the other. Watson 3202 pill is a pain reliever in which analgetic properties of Hydrocodone are stressed by Acetaminophen.

By the way, the very same generic compound with the very same strengths combination is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals in pills indexed with M365 code.

Identify Your Watson Pill

Watson Pharmaceuticals is a famous US manufacturer of generic medicines. A vast range of products marketed by the company includes most popular drugs approved by the FDA. Watson Pharmaceuticals now owns about twenty different enterprises around the world, having acquired a number of smaller drug research and development companies in the US and abroad. The popularity of products made by Watson Pharmaceuticals can be accounted for by the high standards the company has been holding to since the moment it was set up in 1984.

It is no surprise that various pills indexed with "WATSON", or "DAN" letters can be found in different places every now and then. The question is what kind of medication the specified pill is, what strength it is, what name branded equivalents it has. In fact, it is not a difficult question if only you have a reliable pill identification guide at hand. We can provide you with it!

We are launching this blog in order to help everyone who takes interest in finding out which Watson pill is which. To start with, you only have to specify the number on your pill with a Watson index. First of all, make sure that you see the digits clearly. The shape and color of the pill are important, too. When you know a pill's index, a pill's shape and a pill's color, you can easily determine the active ingredient in it.
